Hi. I’m Daisy.

I like to make things.  Many years ago I started out with the gateway drugs of the craft world, crochet and knitting. Then came embroidery and spinning, sewing, and then drawing. The drawing thing kind of got sidelined for a while after I broke my wrist a few years ago and had an extended period of time where my hand was really weak, and at some point while my wrist was healing I got frustrated by not being able to draw and started keeping a mixed media journal. Around the same time I started learning bookbinding and experimenting with stamp carving and later linocut.

My favorite things these days: Embroidery. Bookbinding. Spinning. Monoprinting on deli paper and then collaging the prints onto other things. Linocut — which I’m still learning but love doing.
